Select the “ Voice and Video Settings” option Changing Input and Output Device settings.
Click on the “ User Settings” icon Clicking on the user settings option.
Right– Click on it and select “ Disable” Disabling Stereo Mix option.
In the Recording option, you will see a Stereo Mix playback device Stereo Mix option.
In the new window that pops up click on the “ Recording” option Recording Option.
Select the “ Sounds” button Selecting the Sounds button.
Right-Click on the “ Volume” button on the bottom right side of the taskbar Volume Button on the bottom Right-Hand side of the taskbar.
In this step, we will be disabling the option in both Windows sound settings and Discord’s Settings. It has no use while using Discord or gaming. The stereo mix setting is used to send the input sound of the computer as output. This can cause a problem where the in-game audio is heard from the mic.
Sound Settings: If in the sound settings the input device or the output device is selected as “stereo mix” it prompts the output (your speakers) and the input (your microphone) sounds to mix.
Note: both "Sound" (System Preferences) and "Audio Midi Setup" can also be accessed by doing a search (cmd + space) and writing either "Sound" or "Audio Midi Setup".
Change the input volume using the slider.
Open Audio MIDI Setup and select the corresponding input device.
Select your sound input device and use the slider to change the volume.
Open System Preferences and choose "Sound".
To make sure Yousician is able to hear what you are playing, you might need to change the input level on your computer.
Go to the Recording tab and right-click on Microphone and select Properties.
Scroll down and under Related settings, select the Sound control panel option.
Right-click the speaker icon from the bottom right corner of the screen, select Open sound settings.
Go to the Levels tab and use the slider to change the input level.
Right-click on Microphone and select the Properties tab.
Select Sound and go to the Recording tab.
Select Hardware and Sound from the Control Panel.
In the search box on the Taskbar, type Control panel, and select it from the results.
